Registration is now open for the 2025 Pythia Cook-off, a U.S. National Science Foundation–funded hackathon dedicated to the development of Pythia Cookbooks. This event offers a unique opportunity to enhance your Python programming, communication, collaboration, and educational skills while contributing to the growing collection of open-source resources for the scientific community. Join us in-person at the NCAR Mesa Lab in Boulder, CO August 5-8, 2025.
This hackathon welcomes participants of all skill levels, including students, researchers, developers, and professionals with an interest in geoscientific Python and open science. Whether you are a seasoned coder, a newcomer, or a contributor in non-coding roles, this event offers valuable opportunities to learn, collaborate, and lead. We especially encourage participants to consider facilitating small breakout groups centered around new ideas or existing content.
