The "Mesoscale Meteorology" course helps support many of the topics seen in a university mesoscale course. Topics covered include necessary background knowledge such as the definition of the mesoscale and important relevant synoptic ideas such as jets and stability. The next portion of the course addresses topography and mesoscale features, mesoscale fronts, convection to the mesoscale including Mesoscale Convective Systems. Tropical meteorology topics are also included in this supporting course. The course concludes with lessons associated with mesoscale modeling.
