This summer (July/18-22/2022) the NOAA Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC), the Unified Forecast System (UFS), and the UFS Research to Operations (R2O) communities are coming together to deliver a hybrid five-day Unifying Innovations in Forecasting Capabilities Workshop (UIFCW). Throughout the week, attendees will have the opportunity to explore avenues for their own research development, learn about updates to NOAA's UFS modeling system, share successes within the scope of contributing the most reliable and accurate forecast modeling system in the world, and voice their thoughts on where our exciting future will go from here. It is the goal of the workshop to engage the greater weather enterprise and academia in the on-going effort to accelerate contributions to the Unified Forecast System. This first-of-its-kind event is your chance to dive into innovations in forecasting.

Hybrid workshop format: July 18-22, 2022 at the Holiday Inn in College Park, MD (for in-person participants) and online

Abstracts (optional) are due by June 10, 2022.

Registration is due by June 17, 2022.

Register and/or submit an abstract here.

More information (including an outline of the agenda) is available on the EPIC Workshop site. This webpage will be updated frequently.

We are looking forward to meeting with you this summer.
