2024 NASA Heliophysics Summer School
When: August 14-22, 2024
Where: Boulder, CO
During the NASA Heliophysics Summer School, students will learn about the exciting science of heliophysics as a broad, coherent discipline that reaches across space from the Earth's troposphere to the depths of the Sun, and extends through time from the formation of the solar system to the distant future.
Open to: PhD Graduate Students, and 1st and 2nd year Postdoctoral Researchers
Application deadline is February 29, 2024.
This year's theme is Comparative Heliophysics. Participants will explore how similar concepts and principles of heliophysics apply under different conditions. The summer school will focus on universal processes in heliophysics such as dynamos, plasma flows, magnetic reconnection, and particle acceleration.
UCAR Cooperative Programs for the Advancement of Earth System Science (CPAESS) partners with NASA to hold the Heliophysics Summer School each year. The Living With a Star program of the Heliophysics Division in NASA's Science Mission Directorate sponsors the Summer Schools.
