    ED015: Empowering a Diverse and Global Earth and Space Science Community through Education and Public Engagement
    Co-produced educational collaborations between academics, community organizations/partners, researchers, and others can create spaces for learning science that are more accessible, more just, and more inclusive. This session will highlight initiatives from throughout the Earth, Planetary, and Space Science (EPSS) Community that: 1.) engage diverse audiences in co-producing community-relevant science, 2.) utilize community-centered evaluation methods that may be culturally relevant or place-based for specific communities, and/or 3.) provide structured mentorship that empowers individuals and communities with a sense of well-being and belonging within EPSS. We welcome presentations on experiences, projects, research, pedagogical approaches, and other innovative new ideas that use various mediums, from formal/informal educational settings to social media, videos, and AI technologies, that can be leveraged to accelerate progress towards a more inclusive and sustainable EPSS community. Discussion breaks will include reflexivity activities for the audience to better understand how knowledge shared during the presentations can be transferred across multiple contexts.
