Call for Abstracts – AGU25 Session on High-Latitude Cyclones
Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to submit an abstract to our session at the upcoming AGU 2025 Annual Meeting:
A047. Cyclones in the Polar Regions: Dynamics, Impacts, and Future Changes
New Orleans, Louisiana | December 19–25, 2025
This session focuses on advancing our understanding of high-latitude cyclones-including Arctic cyclones and polar lows-their dynamics, impacts, and projected future changes and associated uncertainties. We welcome studies exploring connections between large-scale variability and cyclone activity, the physical processes driving cyclone development, and cyclone-related impacts on humans and the environment.
Featured Invited Speakers:
- Thomas Spengler (Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen)
- Pete Finocchio (Naval Research Laboratory, Monterey, CA)
Abstract Deadline: Wednesday, July 30, 2025
