  • 1.  AMS Culture Survey

    Posted 09-12-2023 16:59

Dear Members of the UCAR Community:

As many of you already know, the American Meteorological Society (AMS) is in the midst of a Culture Survey to understand people's experiences with equity, inclusion, and justice (EIJ) at the AMS and the greater atmospheric and related sciences community.

We highly encourage you to take 10-15 minutes to complete this survey if you've engaged with the AMS at all, even if you're not a member. The AMS is an important part of our weather/water/climate world, and we have an opportunity to help make this world more just, inclusive, and equitable. You can find the survey at: www.tinyurl.com/AMSCultureSurvey2023. You can also learn more about the AMS Culture Survey here. We would also be most appreciative of you sending this to your colleagues. This is the first survey of its kind targeted toward our disciplines, and if we are really going to make a difference on the DEIJA front, your participation and those of your colleagues is essential. We plan on broadly sharing a summary of the results.

I took the survey, and I hope you will too! Access to the survey will remain open until Wednesday, 27 SEPT.

    Sincerely, and thank you.
