UCAR has nomination slots available for credentials to attend one or two weeks of the UNFCCC COP27 in Sharm El Sheik, Egypt November 6 - 18, 2022 as part of the UCAR delegation.
If you have a student or faculty member at your institution who is interested in being nominated to attend this year's UNFCCC COP, please have them email Linda Mearns at lindam@ucar.edu with a 1-page statement of interest and impact by July 25.
The closing date is July 31, but we need to have all nominations entered before then. Information for potential participants can be found here: https://cop27.eg. This site will be updated as information becomes available.
UCAR is an observer RINGO (Research and Independent Non Governmental Organization) and these credentials will allow access to the more public NGO area for climate action events including high-level events, side events, exhibits and media activities but NOT the zone with the main intergovernmental plenary and negotiation halls.
Unfortunately, no travel or logistical support is available. Also, due to the strong interest in this meeting and the limited number of delegation nomination slots, only those who can firmly commit to attending should reply.
