The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) is excited to announce an opening for the NCAR Associate Director/Lab Director to lead the Computational and Information Systems Laboratory (CISL). As one of NCAR's seven laboratories, CISL provides state-of-the-art high-performance computing (HPC) and storage systems, cyberinfrastructure leadership, and expertise in data science, visualization, machine learning, and code optimization to enable the researchers from universities, government agencies, and NCAR to advance climate, weather, and related Earth system science. Although headquartered at the NCAR Mesa Lab in Boulder, Colorado, CISL also manages the NCAR Wyoming Supercomputing Center (NWSC) located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is a LEED Gold facility with Internet 2 connectivity and dedicated staff for operational hosting of computational and data management infrastructure. CISL also manages the Summer Internships in Parallel Computational Science (SIParCS) program and a Visitor Program. CISL fulfills its mission by leveraging cutting-edge technology and tools across three key initiatives: software development, hardware deployment, and data services.   see full announcement here
