All researchers are invited to explore the Geoscience Data Exchange (GDEX), NSF NCAR's user-centered platform designed to transform how scientists access, analyze, and share data. GDEX is a universal, analytics-ready resource, custom-built to ensure your data is discoverable and positioned for future AI/ML breakthroughs. Designed to meet the needs of researchers, GDEX operates on the principle of "Empowering scalable, collaborative science."

To enrich the entire geoscience community and increase the visibility of your own research, we also encourage you to contribute your own datasets. What datasets would be most beneficial to your work, to NSF NCAR, and to the broader research community? Please send your priority dataset information, including type, size, current usage, and resource needs.

To fully leverage the power of GDEX, you'll need a Casper account. Casper eliminates bottlenecks and enables faster, larger-scale science by bringing your code to GDEX's data. Think of Casper as your friendly (g)host, always ready to help you get your workflows and data out of the attic.

To obtain a Casper account or to submit information about your priority dataset, please contact your allocation representative or send an email to allocreps@ucar.edu. For any other questions, you can contact Doug Schuster at schuster@ucar.edu or the NSF NCAR Research Data Help Desk at datahelp@ucar.edu.
