Hello everyone,
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) is looking to hire a Dean of its School of Freshwater Sciences, the only academic school or college dedicated to the study of freshwater resources. The School of Freshwater Sciences is home to UWM's academic and research programs in the freshwater and atmospheric sciences,
and includes aquatic sciences, atmospheric sciences, and water policy, economics and management.
The School of Freshwater Sciences focuses on advancing knowledge of freshwater systems and their management through basic and applied research; educating future scientists, technicians, teachers, policy specialists and the public; and growing appreciation of natural and constructed aquatic systems. The school is the lead institution for the University of Wisconsin System-wide Freshwater Collaborative of Wisconsin.
More details on the opportunity are available at https://uwm.edu/freshwater/sfs-dean-search/, and applications may be submitted at https://jobs.uwm.edu/postings/36006. The review of applications will begin on February 6, 2023. Prospective candidates may reach out to me (a member of the search committee) in confidence with any questions they may have.
Best regards,
-Clark
