Join us at the Los Angeles Maker Faire! The NSF NCAR Center for Education, Engagement & Early-Career Development (EdEC) is hosting a booth in collaboration with the NSF NCAR Computation and Information Systems Laboratory (CISL) Outreach, Development, and Education group (CODE) at the City of STEM and LA Makers Faire at Exposition Park on April 26 from 9am-5pm.

We are looking for volunteers to assist NSF NCAR staff in interacting with visitors to the booth and facilitating a hands-on activity. We would love to showcase the power of collaboration and the interconnectedness of the Earth system science community by having local volunteers. We ask that volunteers commit a minimum of 2 hours, and meet with us on a virtual call prior to the event.

In the area but unable to volunteer? Come visit our booth! The LA Maker Faire is a free event and "a gathering where inventors and creators from all walks of life showcase their cool projects and gadgets. It's an event that sparks curiosity and invites people of all ages to explore, create, learn, and exchange knowledge and skills through interactive experiences."

Please reach out to Elizabeth Mays emays@ucar.edu if you have any questions or are interested in volunteering!
