The UCAR Members Nominating Committee will meet in June to review nominations for the UCAR Board of Trustees and UCAR governance committees. If you are interested in serving on the Board or a committee, please submit your nomination by May 31, 2024. You may also nominate others who you think would be a great addition. The Board of Trustees is an active Board who meet throughout the year. They are responsible for setting UCAR's overall direction. Institutional Trustees must be from Members Institutions.
The Members Nominating Committee is responsible for reviewing nominations and presenting candidates at the Annual Members Meeting to be voted on by the member representatives. Members of this committee must be member representatives. They are crucial for making sure the board and committees have a diverse and effective membership.
PACUR, the President's Advisory Committee on University Relations, helps UCAR to know what universities need for support, sciences, and teaching. They are a pivotal connection between UCAR, UCP, and NSF NCAR and the university community. PACUR meets virtually monthly.
The Membership Committee is responsible for reviewing new and renewing membership applications. They participate in virtual site visits for new member applicants and they decide which applicants to bring to the university members for their vote at the Annual Members Meeting.
