This animation shows the NSF NCAR Gulfstream V research aircraft sampling air parcels over the Yellow Sea between China and South Korea. This sampling occurred on August 19, 2022 during the Asian summer monsoon Chemical and Climate Impact Project (ACCLIP). The video has four phases: 1. Display the white flight paths over the region and reset air parcels to their starting positions. 2. The yellow air parcels move low over east China, then rise with deep convection over eastern China. This phase ends with the GV aircraft sampling the air mass at ~14km altitude. The size and height are exaggerated to make them visible against the globe. 3. The view rotates to show the GV aircraft and its remaining flight path. 4. The GV returns to Osan Air Base.
