MMM CELCIUS Summer 2026 Visitor Cohort
The NSF NCAR’s Mesoscale and Microscale Meteorology Laboratory (MMM) aims to benefit society by understanding and predicting natural weather hazards using Earth Modeling Systems.

This week-long visit provides graduate students the opportunity to
Engage with MMM staff to discuss research topics, career development, etc.
Present a summary of their work and research interests, & receive feedback from experienced scientists
Participate in career development activities with other intern program attendees
Tour NSF NCAR facilities
Join a diverse cohort of graduate students at different stages of their academic journey
Cultivate a connection with MMM, which will be sustained beyond the summer program
Additional information:
Five students will be chosen for the cohort
Applications are due February 28, 2026
Acceptance letters will be issued by 15 March, 2026
MMM will finance travel, accommodation, and per diem
