The UCAR Center for Science Education is expanding our efforts to support and engage the National Ozone Garden Network, thanks to NASA TEAM II funding. Ozone Gardens grow ozone-sensitive plants that develop symptoms on their leaves when high levels of ozone are present in the air around us. Teach K-grey audiences about ground-level ozone and data collection by planting your own Ozone Garden!
We're currently recruiting new gardens to join the National Ozone Garden Network, and we're also introducing some new opportunities for more involved engagement. Review our Ozone Garden Involvement document which outlines more details about the benefits and expectations of getting involved. Ozone-sensitive plant seeds are provided.
We are accepting applications for new gardens and Garden Groups from now through Friday, December 20th. Please share the word amongst your colleagues. For more information about Ozone Gardens, visit our website. For any questions, email the planning team at garden-leads@ucar.edu.
We hope to engage with our UCAR Member University network with this opportunity!
