We are offering an in person tutorial on the science and practice of running the Community Land Model (CLM) to be held in Boulder Nov 16-19, 2026.
As we prepare to release CESM3 and CLM6 we want to share the latest scientific capabilities and software features to support the science you want to do with this research tool. The planned agenda will largely follow the structure of the summer CESM tutorial, but with a stronger land focus. We'll cover the fundamentals of land modeling and provide lab practicals focused on model configuration, case customization, and data analysis. A substantial part of the week will focus on learning new scientifically supported features in the model, including FATES, Hillslope Hydrology, Calibration Tools, and Single Point capabilities.
