    Hi all,

Interested in earth data science, a career change, or scientific programming? Not sure if the University of Colorado Boulder's Earth Data Analytics - Foundations certificate is right for you? Join us on Thursday, July 25th, at 4pm MST for a Virtual Information Session! The Earth Lab Education Team will be there to answer questions about the program, application process, job opportunities, and more! Register here for the Virtual Info Session, and don't forget to apply for the Fall 2024 semester by August 9th, 2024.

The Earth Data Analytics - Foundations in Python professional graduate certificate from the University of Colorado Boulder will teach you the skills at the intersection of earth and data science. This three-course, nine-credit program is aimed at working professionals and can be completed entirely online over ten months or three semesters. Apply by August 9th, 2024 to begin the program in the Fall 2024 semester.

The certificate consists of three sequential courses, which provide the fundamental skills required to work in the growing field of earth data science, including using tools like Python programming and GitHub to work with varied earth data types and structures as well as effectively collaborate on data-intensive projects. Students apply the data science skills that they learn in the classroom to a final capstone project where they are paired with professional partners like Google, the World Wildlife Fund, and the USGS. Graduates will be prepared to launch or advance careers as data scientists, GIS/geospatial analysts, remote sensing scientists, or product managers, among others. Recent graduates, experienced earth science professionals, and those looking for a career change will find the skills taught in the certificate applicable.

Don't forget to register for our Virtual Information Session on July 25th! Once registered, you will receive an email containing instructions for how to join the session. We hope to see you there!
