Come join us at the 6th Symposium on Community Modeling and Innovation (6CMI) at the 2027 AMS Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado and share what you have been doing with the rest of the Earth System Modeling community! Abstracts are due next week, August 10th.

The 6CMI is a central hub for public, private, and academic sector partners working to advance community modeling systems, such as the Unified Forecast System (UFS), through initiatives like NOAA's Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC). Symposium presentations and events will foster discussions on open innovation, model code development, software engineering, advanced computing architectures, and the societal benefits of these collaborative efforts. It emphasizes open collaboration, innovation, and the shared development of modeling systems to improve our understanding and prediction of weather and climate.

This year the symposium includes sessions dedicated to a range of critical topics:
    • The Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC) and Unified Forecast System (UFS)
    Hope to see you there!
